Women's Ministry: Chartering Information

Women’s Ministries functions under the direction of the Pastor and in complete harmony with other ministries in the local church. A Women’s Ministries should be organized to minister to as many of the women in the congregation as possible.

Organizational materials may be obtained (Resource Guide) from the International Women’s Ministries. According to the General Assembly Minutes, the manner of selecting, electing or appointing these officers is left to the discretion of the pastor. The local church Women’s Ministries committee is comprised of the president, vice president and secretary-treasurer, with the pastor serving as ex officio chairman. If the pastor’s wife is not the local Women’s Ministries president, she may serve as the local director or coordinator of Women’s Ministries.

Charters, including one free membership card per member may be obtained through International Women’s Ministries. A permanent charter will be sent upon receipt of application and processing fee.
